This beautiful Grade II-listed property has been used by Rolls-Royce as a private hotel for the last 65 years catering exclusively for it’s overseas visitors. The new owners of this impressive b&b have now seamlessly made the transition to a place to relax in with the same comfort and style. Everything is as Rolls Royce left it, even the books in the wood paneled rooms to the crockery and cutlery used for the delicious meals served here.
My wife and I had been visiting our son in nearby Bristol (15 mins drive) and were looking for somewhere nearby which was quiet and relaxing to stay in to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We were warmly welcomed on our arrival by the owner and made to feel at home. Tea and freshly homemade biscuits were promptly served in our room which were gratefully received after our very busy day in Bristol.
Our room ( no 7) was wonderful with a very comfortable bed, a huge bathroom and an enormous window with views onto the garden. We decided to have our dinner at the hotel prepared by their cordon bleu trained cook which was superb!
In the morning we were served with an amazing breakfast freshly cooked to order.
We then took a walk around the large gardens (the house sits within 7 acres) and visited the historic church ruins next to the house.
Would definitely recommend and hope to return next time we visit Bristol.

Lots of charm and plenty of room. Booked as passing and found the staff to be helpful even with checking in extra late. Good breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend and worth a visit. I will return.

The Old Church Farm is an old manor house that has been well refurbished catering for a small number of guests. Expect to be cosseted and well fed in this hotel – definitely somewhere we will return to and recommend to friends.
Likes: The bed was incredibly comfortable, the rooms well heated in spite their enormous size, the host was knowledgeable and attentive, dinner outstanding, ditto the breakfast. What was not to like?
- “Very easy to book and find.”

Very easy to book and find. The owner made us very welcome. It is a bit different but manages to successfully combine the old and new
Lovely rooms, décor, high quality accommodation

As bed and breakfast accommodation goes this must be up there with the best.
I understand the property was formally used by Rolls Royce as a Conference centre and to entertain business dignitaries etc. So it is no surprise that the house and its furnishing exude style and class from an era gone by. With a wealth of history to it’s name, this is just the sort of place we enjoy staying at.
The property I guess takes it’s name from the ruined Church, standing just 12 ft away from the house, where only the tower and part of the knave wall remains as a reminder to it’s past.
Our host, the owner made us most welcome and told us the history of the place.
The breakfast was excellent and I would not hesitate re-booking when we are next in the Bristol area.
All in all a fabulous place to stay.

A delightful place to stay – warm and welcoming with fantastic period features. Guest areas (drawing room, wood panelled library, breakfast room) have the right balance between characterful and cosy. Our room (7) was spacious, comfortable, and contained beautiful furniture that made it seem like a really relaxing, homely space. The bathroom is large with a great roll top bath and good sized shower. Breakfast includes a cooked option made to order (can recommend Eggs Royale).
Small touches (homemade biscuits; warm mince pies brought up on arrival) were lovely. The host is friendly and attentive but in a way that allows you space to enjoy a sense of retreat.
